MINISTRY OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE, INVESTMENT, AVIATION & MARITIME AFFAIRS

Applications are invited for the post of:

 Deputy Director Investment - InvestCayman

The post holder assists the Director with InvestCayman’s investment service activities, including but not limited to, client interactions and consulting, client recruitment, performance tracking and, local and regional research. The post holder is responsible for assisting the Director with developing and executing investment strategy. The post holder will be responsible for tracking and reporting the Centre’s performance, as well as researching local and regional trends. The post holder will advise the Director as required to keep InvestCayman internationally competitive.

Education and/or Experience /Qualifications :

The post holder must possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.
  • Must have 4-5 years of related professional business management experience in a combination of project management, customer/client management, and/or public relations. Must have 3 years minimum supervisory experience.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with local Immigration and Commerce laws, as well and requirements for establishing various types of business.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with Human Resources principles and practices.
  • Experience with consulting and/or coaching an asset.
  • A background in sales, and/or business ownership advantageous

The post holder will also be required to demonstrate, in part:

  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Oral Communication Skills - Effective individual and group engagement with a wide variety of individuals, organisations, and the general public.
  • Written Communication Skills - Ability to generate traditional and electronic correspondence
  • Exercise initiative and appropriate independent judgement.
